England Chapter XVI, the latest admission to the Blue Knights, was inaugurated in November 2008 and covers the Cumbria Police area between the borders of Scotland 1 & 2 to the North and the borders of England 3 (Nothumbria/Durham) to the East and England 12 & 15 (Lancashire/Yorkshire) to the South. Meetings are usually held on the last Sunday in the month during organised ride outs in the biking season, with get-togethers in various pubs throughout the area in the winter months.
Our first year proved a great success with a weekend ride and stay to Oban, Scotland, as well as frequent rides through Cumbria and the scenic Lake District including attendances at a variety of Bike-safe displays.
Our ride Captain dedicates his time to organising several summer ride-outs, usually on a Sunday, when all are welcome to join us. The dates and locations will be published on our web site.
