President - Nick Cannon
Still a serving police officer with the BTP I enjoy getting out and about when the shifts allow!
I currnetly ride my Yamaha 'XVS 1100 Dragstar Classic'.
Having been a former member of England 3, I was elected Vice President of England XVI on formation of the chapter in November 2008, becoming President in 2009.
My other contribution to the chapter being 'The Mrs' our Web Designer!

Vice President - Kevin Conlon
Kevin Joined the prison service in 1964 serving at Durham & Wandsworth. He then joined Durham Constabulary in 1970 - transferring to Northumbria with the mounted section in 1974. During his police service, Kevin also served with the Royal Military Police T.A. for 20 years.
He retired from the Police Service in 1994 and has been able to spend many more enjoyable hours on "two wheels".
Kevin now lives in Cumbria with his wife Maureen.

Secretary - Walter Head with Personal Assistant Jo
I joined Northumbria Police in 1976 and spent the next 17 years in various roles including CID. Injured on duty and pensioned out in 1994, I have owned several bikes including two VFR’s, still riding one, a Pan European and a cruiser. Qualified as an advanced motorcyclist. I have been a member of the Blue Knights since 2000 and have been fortunate enough to be elected as Secretary of the newly formed England 16 chapter. I must be the only Secretary who has their own secretary - this is my long suffering partner Joanne, who has recently become my wife.

Treasurer - Pete Richards
I Joined the RAF Police in 1982, serving both in the UK and overseas. My service riding career started on 350 BSA's and Can-Ams followed by Triumph Tigers, Norton Rotaries and finally ST1100'S. In 1992 I passed my Advanced Bike Qualification with Lancs Constabulary and took over the role of training RAF Motorcyclists in Germany. I retired from the RAF in 2005 and have recently qualified as a Social Worker.
I currently live in Northumberland with my long suffering wife 'Pam' and ride a Harley Fat Boy

Ride Captain - Mick Haggart
I joined BTP in 1978 and travelled between Newcastle and my home in Durham on a selection of £90 british bikes, BSA 500, Matchless 650, and a Triumph frame/BSA engine combination cleverly called a Tribsa. I got my car licence in 1980 and turned to the dark side for the next 29 years. Riding through two bad winters gave me enough scares to last that long. Time flew by, I retired and took some time out, then one day I woke up and bid on a Kawazaki ZZR 600 ratbike on ebay. I think I secretly hoped I would lose the bid but I won it and rediscovered the joys of biking! Flies in the teeth, frozen hands (it was November, so where did the flies come from?) and the 'will it go around the next bend' feeling! Ewen and Charlie inspired me to buy a BMW R1100GS so now I can get to Tesco whatever the roads are like. My constant presence at home began to drive my partner Tina insane so I now work 12 hrs a day driving an ambulance while dressed like a jolly green giant. I joined the Blue Knights last year and really enjoy the rides out. Somehow I became Ride Captain and am looking forward to helping plan some great rides for 2010.

Past President and Member - Bert Gibson

I joined the Northumberland County Constabulary in 1964 working in uniform at Blyth, Berwick upon Tweed, Whitley Bay and Guide Post where I rode a Francis Barnet. I was transferred as a Detective to Ashington then posted into Newcastle City on to the Serious Crime Squad.

I rode a Triumph Trophy 1200cc when a member of England 111 and now I am the proud owner of a Suzuki Intruder 800cc.

Member - Andy Redhead
Andy Redhead was a founding member of Blue Knights England One when the club was first established in the United Kingdom attending the first ever Blue Knights rally in England in Edale in 1991.
He helped establish England Three in 1992 to cater for members in the North East of England as the club spread across the country.
In the following years he has been England Three President three times totalling nine years in post.
Always an active member heavilly involved in attending European rallies, Andy has forged many lifetime friendships with likeminded Blue Knight brothers around the globe in the past twenty years.
Now retired from the force Andy is still active with his new home England 16, and he still enjoys attending rallies in Europe on his heavilly modified B-King.

Member - Jim Mackley
Followed Walter into sunny Sunderland in October 1978, completing my 30 years in October 2008, having various roles predominately in uniform.
Spent my last few years in the mounted section (1 horse power ), until a fall and subsequent broken wrist and shoulder confined me back to Sunderland. The bike riding was borne out of necessity when travelling up to Kirkley Hall Stables, Ponteland. Now riding a BMW 1200GS to comfort the old shoulder injury. The current Mrs Mackley ( Nic ) accompanies me on most/all rides, outside the football season of course !

Member - Jim Flannigan
Jim is married with three sons and has served in the RAF and the North Yorkshire Police. He now owns village shop and Post office in Berwick Upon Tweed.
Having been into bikes on and off since the age of 16 Jim started with a Francis Barnett through several bikes including a Honda Superdream and Kawasaki GPX750R to his present BMW R80RT as seen opposite.

Member - John Forrester
John Forrester from Penrith, Cumbria - joined Cumbria Constabulary in 1979. Having retired in December 2007 at the rank of Sergeant. I have served in Barrow, Workington and Headquarters. I spent 19 years within the Penrith based Traffic Patrol Group. As a qualified Police Class One Motorcyclist and car driver, I decided to use the skills gained from my police motorcycle experience to start my own business Eden Pro Rider Training offering professional rider tuition over an ever expanding portfolio of courses. I currently ride a Kawasaki 1400GTR.

Honorary Member - Lynn Cannon
After passing my bike test in 2007 I started out with a Yamaha 'V Star 650 custom '. After a few months deciding that a more sporty number was in order I changed it for a Kawasaki 'ER-6F'. Some may call it a 'girls bike' but I love it, with it's nippy 650 engine and numerous mods, it can keep up with the big boys just fine!
I joined my husband to become an honorary member of England XVI in November 2008 when the chapter was founded. My contribution being the website management and photographer.
I enjoy joining all the rides that I can, showing a female presence!
